The ideal candidate is passionate about the luxury market (primarily jewelry and fashion), a quick-thinking problem-solver, and a patient and collaborative team member. This person should have strong sales experience within the HNW segment, with evidence of the ability to build and maintain client relationships over time. Great verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to excel in ambiguous and quickly changing situations. 

What you'll do: 

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with elite clientele and 1stdibs dealers. 
  • Actively seek out opportunities to assist HNW buyers in purchasing through 1stdibs, including sourcing of desirable items.
  • Proactively recommend items for consideration to increase share of wallet.
  • Provide guidance throughout the purchase process on negotiations, item information, and shipping; resolve issues with the utmost urgency.
  • Maintain constant communication with the customer from the beginning to the end of any established case, issue, or concern. 
  • Collaborate on a daily basis with team management and colleagues from other groups in the org (Account Management, Sales, Logistics, Finance, etc.)
  • Effectively and accurately utilize systems including the 1stdibs Order Management System & Salesforce CRM to accurately capture information on all clients.

Who you are:

  • College degree preferred
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a fast paced luxury sales/retail or e-commerce environment; experience in fashion and jewelry sales preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with dealers and luxury products
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Superb attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a self-directed, fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly
  • Excellent writing, speaking, presentation and computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately based on the audience
  • Salesforce.com proficiency a plus
