The Role

The yield management team stands at the intersection of data science, finance, and real estate with the mandate to optimize the economic performance of Breather’s network of spaces. Simply put, yield management is about selling the right inventory to the right customer at the right time.

Equal parts hacker, machine learning geek, and traditional engineer, you will work to productionize data products that are helping to revolutionize how Breather monetizes space. You will get to work on a variety of tasks and types of data: on one day you might work on integrating geographic information systems data to build detailed maps, while on another day you might build a machine learning pipeline in Python. Regardless of the task, you will work with the excitement of knowing that all of your effort is having a measurable impact on Breather as a business.

Responsibilities:

• Build production quality data science products from models prototyped in Python and R
• Develop frameworks for persisting and evaluating model performance
• Integrate internal and external data to advance feature engineering efforts
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable ETL processes
• Work across multiple teams and business functions, owning solutions end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Python or similar development experience (required).
• 2+ years of experience deploying machine learning models into production
• 2+ years of experience in ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• Strong fundamentals in computer science, including algorithms and data structures
• Comfortable with statistics and data analysis
• Ability to explain complex issues in technical and non-technical terms.
• Ability to approach new problems with both strong fundamentals and lateral thinking.
• A commitment to writing understandable, maintainable, and reusable software.

Full-time salary and equity compensation based on experience
