The Marketing Engineer Program Advantage

 

The Marketing Engineer Program (MEP) is an immersive, 12-week career accelerator and training program designed to create future leaders in digital marketing.

 

Marketing Engineers learn from, work alongside, and are mentored by subject matter experts across a variety of digital marketing disciplines. Graduates leave with practical, highly applicable and desirable experience in programmatic campaign strategy, execution, and analysis. Additionally, MEPs gain broad industry knowledge and the critical thinking, business acumen and professional savvy necessary to thrive as a future thought leader in a rapidly evolving space.

The Marketing Engineer Program Team is dedicated to the success of each cohort, and delivers a world-class experience on top of the skills and professional development training. Our goal is to instill the marketing vocabulary, technological fluency, client service best practices, analytical know-how and strategic ability required to compete for job opportunities and build a long term, satisfying career in digital marketing and ad tech. We succeed in this goal by combining our custom curriculum, real world case studies, one-on-one mentorship and professional development to develop skills and experience that are in high demand with MediaMath’s vast and always expanding network of companies.

Responsibilities:

Important Program Details to Note

 

  • Time Commitment:
    • 12 weeks: Program begins on August 7, 2017 and ends on October 27, 2017
    • Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm (with a one-hour lunch break)
  • Location: 
    • The program is located in NYC and in-person attendance is required for the duration of the program. 
    • Post-program opportunities may arise across the United States
  • Tuition and Pay: 
    • We do not charge tuition for the Marketing Engineer Program. 
    • Marketing Engineers are compensated an hourly wage to assist with living expenses. 
  • Equipment: 
    • All materials and equipment, including a laptop, are provided to Marketing Engineers by MediaMath for use during the course of the program, free of charge.
  • Career Coaching:
    • Marketing Engineers will enjoy opportunities to network with companies seeking the MEP skill set for open positions.
    • Marketing Engineers will receive group and one-on-one career coaching including resume writing, interview skills and building a personal career narrative.
  • Additional Perks: 
    • Marketing Engineers are included in the MediaMath community and will enjoy our beautiful office facilities and perks like free, all-you-can-eat snacks, socials, networking opportunities and training and development.
  • Other:
    • Marketing Engineers are temporary employees of MediaMath and not eligible for participation in MediaMath benefits programs.

This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. As part of our global technology team, you may be required to be work off-hours or be on-call on a rotating basis. Other duties may be assigned, as needed. MediaMath retains the right to change job duties at any time.

 

Qualifications:

The Marketing Engineer Program is highly selective, accepting fewer than 4% of applicants. While there is no one-size-fits-all profile of a Marketing Engineer, common threads among MEPs are analytical and technical aptitude, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for learning. Successful MEPs are new college or Masters grads, as well as career changers with up to 6 years of professional work experience from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds.

 

Indicators of Success 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Coursework or professional experience with data driven problem solving and/or quantitative reasoning.
  • Internship or professional experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel.
  • An insatiable appetite for learning
