Description:

LearnVest is looking for a talented Mobile Product Manager to help shape and lead a transformational effort for our mobile products across LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual. This individual will be on the ground working across Technology, Design, Marketing, Senior Leadership and key business stakeholders and will own the products from ideation to delivery.

The Mobile Product Manager will be responsible for the management of various products that create amazing customer experiences and meet LearnVest’s and Northwestern Mutual’s business objectives. Their responsibilities will include the oversight and management of multiple products/projects, leveraging various skills to ensure a consistent usage of standard product management practices (primarily Agile). They will provide the leadership, vision, strategic planning and oversight to ensure successful delivery of the product roadmap. 

Responsibilities:

  • Set the mobile product vision and lead roadmapping, goal setting, story writing, prioritizing, project execution, A/B testing, and product rollout strategy.
  • Relentlessly push to understand customer needs and act as the customer advocate in prioritization and tradeoff discussions.
  • Work closely with Designers and Engineers to iterate quickly based on user feedback and research insights.
  • Identify unmet needs and disruption opportunities, and guide interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative products to market.
  • Partner with Data, Design and Research teams to ensure products satisfy user needs as well as wants.
  • Inform product decisions with quantitative data on user behavior and experimentation (A/B testing).
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and customers to maximize effectiveness and influence.
  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process by partnering with a variety of internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of mobile product management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience managing iOS, Android or apps for other ecosystems
  • Experience shipping multiple products across a variety of platforms and channels preferred
  • Good understanding of technical concepts and consideration in building complex mobile applications and system integrations. Comfortable working closely with engineers
  • Agile product management experience
  • Financial Services experience strongly preferred
  • Possess a blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytic reasoning
  • Collaborative and a team player with the ability to navigate and influence the organization through excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Passion for mobile experiences that are delightful
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Ability to act autonomously
  • Highest standards of ethical and professional behavior, consistent with the company’s values and business conduct policies
