BuzzFeed Audio is looking for a creative, innovative, and resourceful video producer who can create compelling news videos in conjunction with our award-winning podcasts. The person we’re looking for knows our podcasts intimately and has ideas about how to extend their personalities, ideas and segments into videos that find and serve a devoted audience. In particular, we are looking for the kinds of videos that will hit big on Facebook.
The Pod Squad is a lean and productive team who works hard and collaboratively. Our fellows are involved with every stage of production, and are trusted with seeing through projects from creation to promotion. Much will be expected of you, but you will also be mentored and guided throughout the fellowship
This is a full-time, paid fellowship based in New York, starting August 2017 (not a summer internship). Applicants will be required to submit work samples and pass an edit test.

Responsibilities
- Contribute ideas and edit short videos that serve the audience of our podcasts
- Assist with video shoots - must be comfortable using DSLRs
- Know how to pitch an executable idea and execute a pitched idea
- Record sound
- Setup basic lighting
- Assist with research and media gathering
- Handle video notes and packaging processes
Requirements
- Experience creating and editing video content
- Experience with cameras, audio and lighting equipment
- Experience with graphic design and animation a plus
- Excellent news judgment and a sense for what makes a good story
- Ability to take direction and work in a dynamic environment
- A can-do attitude and a sense of humor!
