Paid Search Strategist
The Search Strategist is responsible for direct day-to-day management of the region’s largest Paid Search clients. Daily responsibilities include account creation, optimization, reporting, and pacing via third party bid management tool Kenshoo.
In addition to the technical component, the Search Strategist is client facing and responsible for developing internal and external relationships to aide in the growth of paid search revenue. This includes: strategy creation, sales collaboration, and involvement in new business pitches to promote tactical executions aligned with client goals and objectives. Translating strategy into live campaigns with the ability to meet defined KPIs is key.
The Search Strategist does NOT have SEO responsibilities nor are they involved in the development of a paid search technology. The Search Strategist should expect to work alongside sales and media services and should not expect to interface with engineers.
ABOUT THE SEARCH TEAMCentro’s Paid Search Team is a specialized group of search engine marketing experts. We provide full service execution of paid search campaigns including, competitor research, keyword development, ad copy, account management and reporting.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Act as the “face” to the paid search team within the region
- Be seen as the go-to expert for the region and as a strong educator for all things paid search
- Optimize accounts on a regular basis to improve campaign performance, driving KPI success and account growth
- Build relationships with sales to increase paid search visibility and collaboration, aiding to create “smarter” digital media buys
- Master internal paid search best practices and processes to promote and educate accordingly
- Confidently present Centro’s Search Solutions to partner agencies and potential clients
- Manage timelines and coordination of resources for deliverables on campaign launches and optimizations
- Elevate regional needs and opportunities to the Regional Supervisor and/or Associate Director
- Identify internal process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
- Proactively provide campaign insights, data and analysis
- Attend/ lead strategy meetings and client calls
- Guide strategic approach to develop keyword and ad copy builds
- Run tests on new beta and product offerings, report on learnings
- Act as liaison between Google and larger organization
- Mentor Coordinators to aide in development and digital landscape knowledge
- 2+ years with direct experience executing daily management of campaigns for Paid Search
- 1+ years experience in client facing role
- Advanced skills within Google Adwords, Bing Ads and 3rd Party bid management tools such as Kenshoo, Marin, or DoubleClick
- Ability to articulate strategy and recommendations in a clear, professional manner via verbal and written communication
- Extreme attention to detail with ability to shift between advertisers, industries, and KPIs at any given time
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Analytical approach with proven success in “storytelling” via data and analysis
- Strong desire to self-manage workload with little oversight
- Visionary leader with ability to be solutions oriented and “think outside the box”
- Comfortable providing feedback to improve media plans, capabilities and offerings
- Thrive in a fast-paced, performance oriented environment
- Google AdWords certified
- Agency experience, a plus
- Basic knowledge of SEO and analytics platforms (i.e. Google Analytics), a plus
