About Q:

Managed by Q is on a mission to make the world work better. Growing from a small room above a garment factory in NYC’s Chinatown in 2014, today we power thousands of offices across New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

The tools we’re building enable office teams to seamlessly run their workspaces while also empowering service providers and small businesses to flourish.

About the role:

If you’re looking to kick off your career in business development and strategic partnerships, Q’s Marketplace team is looking for a motivated, ambitious and scrappy individual to join the front lines of our Partner Acquisition team. The Partner Acquisition Associate will be responsible for sourcing and qualifying the best partners to join the Q Marketplace. This team is the backbone of the Marketplace product: onboarding qualified partners ensures we can continue to meet increasing customer demand. This is an opportunity to be creative -- you’ll be pitching private and public companies in a variety of service industries across the country. Day-to-day you’ll collaborate with the entire Marketplace team - from Category Management to Fulfillment Operations to Customer Experience - ensuring that we capture the best partners for our network.

About you:

  • You know that pitching partners is strategic. Every conversation is different, you think dynamically and remain calm under pressure.
  • You believe the best process is derived through experimentation and iteration, and you are never satisfied. When you believe in the product you are selling, you are excited to share it with the world.
  • You believe in the mission of Q to make the world work better, and have limitless potential to grow within the organization.
  • You view challenges as opportunities, and look forward to the challenge of increasing the partner network across markets and verticals. You’re relentless and you know the only way to handle rejection is to try again.

Responsibilities:

  • Source lead lists online and ensure the most qualified leads hit the onboarding funnel
  • Research and prioritize other partner lead channels such as trade shows and meetups
  • Set meetings as necessary for the Partner Acquisition team
  • Own our inbound channels, such as website submissions and incoming calls
  • Research prospects and build lead lists in Salesforce
  • Collect disqualified leads sources and aggregate new ones for reporting
  • Coordinate with Category Managers to align needs
  • Effectively communicate partner onboarding priorities, and address partner capacity deficiencies as necessary
  • Develop, synthesize, and share deep knowledge about which service providers are most popular for which segments in each geography.
  • Cold calling and cold emailing partner prospects as necessary

Qualifications:

  • You’re self-motivated and coachable: you don’t need somebody to tell you to do your job, but you welcome feedback
  • You’ll never back down from a challenging conversation and you love to think on your feet
  • Comfortable and competent having conversations via phone and email
  • Eager to learn from experienced professionals and grow a career in partnerships + business development

Benefits:

  • Ground floor opportunity at one of the fastest growing companies in the world
  • Competitive salary
  • Generous Stock Options
  • 401(k) with matching
  • 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • An insanely supportive, hardworking team, building something BIG
