The Patient Access Team within Provider Operations collaborates with life science partners to provide value-added, patient access specific resources to our community oncology practice network through Flatiron’s OncoEMR. The Patient Access Associate role presents a unique opportunity to focus on project management and product operations with both life science partners and community oncology practices that will contribute to the success of the Patient Access solutions.

 In this role, you’ll be working collaboratively and closely with several stakeholders to successfully execute on this solution, including:

  • Manage a set of relationships with life science partners for program implementation and updates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Product, Engineer, Customer Success, Marketing, and other teams to successfully deliver on project-specific work as well as optimize internal processes that enable key provider engagement
  • Collaborate with internal provider-facing teams to optimize oncology practices’ relevant workflows, user experience and engagement with the Patient Access solution

You will become an expert on Flatiron’s Patient Access Solution and proactively seek and contextualize product feedback from the field to inform future product operations and enhancements. As this is a full-fledged and successful initiative, the ideal candidate for this role will be excited to help develop processes to scale the initiative with our life science partners and Flatiron’s provider network.

Responsibilities: 

  • Own project-specific management and communicate with life science partners, including
    • Guiding legal and regulatory review processes and troubleshooting project-specific issues
    • Collaborating with Product & Engineering Teams to build & QA project-specific releases
    • Collaborating with Marketing & Training Teams to deploy project-specific releases
    • Supporting Life Science Partnership Team in demonstrating success of projects
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product, Marketing, Customer Success) to drive provider engagement initiatives relating to the Patient Access Solution
    • Designing and driving provider engagement campaigns with Customer Success
    • Training provider customers on the Patient Access functionality and troubleshooting provider support requests
    • Visiting OncoEMR customers to understand workflow, and provide guidance on how to optimize Patient Access solutions within the practice
  • Collect and synthesize customer feedback into clear use cases for prioritization and development with Product & Engineering Teams
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our Patient Access products for internal teams
  • Support development and documentation of standardized processes and look for opportunities to improve existing processes to scale project management and provider engagement

 

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in project management, product operations, or consulting
  • Interested in engaging directly with life science partners and collaborating with Flatiron’s provider-facing teams to drive provider engagement
  • Robust experience in bringing projects to life and exceptional prioritization skills in a challenging and cross-functional environment
  • Knack for leveraging data and operations to support provider engagement initiatives
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate about our mission to accelerate cancer research by leveraging technology
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support implementation activities, client meetings, and/or attend conferences

 

Bonus points…

  • Experience with life sciences client management
  • Functional knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with patient access and/or practice management/billing workflows
  • Understanding of electronic health record (EHR) applications and workflows
