About the role:

We're seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to assist in all facets of processing payroll and benefits administration. You’ll be joining a team of payroll professionals that aim to set the standard in our company. We're looking for our next star. As a Payroll & Benefits Administrator for Q you will support the Payroll/Benefits Department in the day-to-day administration, processing of multiple payrolls, benefits, and special projects as assigned. You will also be the back-up person for the Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities:

Payroll/Benefits

  • Process multi-state weekly/bi-weekly/semi-monthly payrolls.
  • Help administer 401k, Medical, Dental, Vision plans.
  • Audit timecards and workflows.
  • Generate relevant Ad-hoc reports for finance and other departments as requested.
  • Assist with appropriate entries including payroll reconciliation, garnishments, setting up payroll, benefits and files.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.
  • Assist with Paycard setup and processing.
  • Process manual checks as needed.
  • Respond to all customer inquiries and follow through on all matters through resolution.
  • Assist with training of Payroll Administrator.

HRIS

  • Helps to maintain the integrity of the HRIS system, through regular audits and updates.
  • Work alongside the People and Culture departments to find solutions to employee concerns or action items.
  • Train managers and employees on using the system.
  • Assist with implementations of new products or upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Preference for a minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive payroll experience
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of benefits administration experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for various stakeholders of the business
  • A motivated problem solver with an ability to work to aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and own every challenge no matter the size of the task
  • Ability to communicate with a customer service focus both internally and externally 
  • Strong experience with any major payroll provider (we use Ultimate Software)
