About the role:

As Payroll Manager for Q you will join a growing payroll team and support the CFO, Accounting, People & Culture Teams and business units in managing the end to end payroll process This position will assist management and business unit leaders by providing accurate and timely payroll processing along with same day financial accountings to help Q payroll be the best experience of working at Q.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly & semi-monthly payrolls for 1,000+ salary and hourly employees and ensure that time keeping data for hourly employees is collected accurately and timely.
  • Manage, direct, and conduct analysis, implementation, enhancement and operation of payroll software and processes.
  • Resolve payroll issues as they arise and implement procedures to mitigate future risks and errors
  • Partner with the People Ops team on a regular basis to assure complete coordination of pay, benefits, deductions
  • Maintain knowledge of current regulatory and reporting requirements and notify key stakeholders when needed
  • Provide positive, thoughtful, responsive customer service to address employees concerns regarding their pay
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports, reconciliations and ad hoc special report requests
  • Through the organization of the Director of Accounting & Accounting Manager, execute upon 3rd party external audits in an effective and timely manner to meet required signed audit opinion date deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance or comparable discipline.
  • 4+ years of relevant payroll experience with large 1,000+ employee hourly base as well as salaried employee base.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and preparing reports at multiple levels of summary and detail for various stakeholders of the business.
  • Ability to work independently and own every challenge no matter the size of the task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate fearlessly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adept at process improvement identification, documentation and education, with a constant focus on working with the stakeholders of the business on automating wherever and whenever possible.
  • Experience with Netsuites and Ultimate Software payroll system (UltiPro)
