We are looking for a smart, talented and driven Intern to assist our Photo Dept team during the Fall months! The perfect candidate must possess the energy and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and the confidence to uphold the integrity of SheKnows standards. THE WORK

The Photography Intern will support the Photo and editorial team and Photo Editor on a day to day basis. This person will be familiar with the Online Media space and will have had successfully completed previous internships as well as past experience assisting photographers. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Assist our Photo and editor with production of new photo shoots on a variety of topics from entertainment to beauty to food


• Have a thirst for learning new things and be an expert photo researcher


• Brainstorm new ideas/Shoots and topics to cover


• General editorial duties like photo research, setting up studio lighting, scouting locations, uploading images, running props and equipment to locations


• Basic and High end re-touching in Photoshop and Lightroom is a plus!


• Learn how to upload images to the SheKnows site using our custom-built online content management system


• Be savvy in social media including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube


• Assist with general office duties and provide some administrative support

THE FINE PRINT

• Must be a student currently enrolled in a degree seeking program and able to receive college credit for internship hours


• Background in Photography, graphic design, journalism or related field is a must


• Must have Photography background, and take a high interest in Studio and on Location photo shoots


• Have a DSLR camera and can take photos with confidence in various scenarios.


• General understanding of Stock photography and Studio lighting


• Possess solid communication skills, both verbal and written


• Have great communication skills


• Independent thinker, who loves to come up with creative ideas


• Ability to juggle numerous projects at once under deadline pressure


• Must have strong organization and deadline management skills


• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Photoshop, lightroom, Excel and Word


• Be a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude
