Position Overview:

As Planning Analyst, you will aid the Planning team in developing strategies that generate high revenue, profit and inventory turnover. The Planning team is accountable for maintaining and driving optimal inventory levels by category and channel to maximize revenue. The ideal candidate is curious, comfortable working with complex data and energized by having a direct impact on growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of reporting to support our budgeting and forecasting process, as well as monitoring performance of third party partnerships
  • Create and manage financial/operational dashboards to monitor performance of our sales channels; communicate to stakeholders on regular basis
  • Conduct on-going analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators in retail markets and our sales channels
  • Support quarterly recaps that summarize analyses and present them to cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Product Management, Marketing, etc.)
  • Manage initial and on-going pricing of our products within our sales channels
  • Responsible for managing inventory levels across multiple store locations and categories and ensure assortment of merchandise is appropriate to meet presentation objectives as well as retail growth initiatives
  • Execute assortment strategy for new store openings based on demographic information and sales
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure timely delivery of inventory and consistency of information shared across stores
  • Monitor inventory deactivations in retail stores and provide recommendations to minimize impact to inventory controls

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a quantitative field
  • 1-2 years experience in a quantitative field or if a 2017 graduate, relevant coursework and/or internship experience in fashion, start ups, etc. 
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Willingness to learn new analytics tools like Tableau
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues through objective analysis and planning
  • Ability to work with limited resources and cross-functionally with different departments
  • Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" to do the work; Ability to handle many projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize across a diverse workload with strong project management skills/discipline to meet set deadlines
