As a PMO Leader you'll play a central and visible role in developing Grubhub’s strategy within the engineering organization, to create the most efficient and effective team to tackle each strategic goal. You’ll help to create and evolve consistent processes and reporting structures, ensuring that we’re solving problems in the best way possible. You will accomplish this by partnering closely with Engineering leadership, along with Finance and Product stakeholders, to drive budgetary and staffing decisions with senior leaders, as well as building out project business modeling and justification for ROI. Some Challenges You’ll Tackle- Collaborate closely with engineering, to ensure transparency visibility, and communications are well coordinated around team staffing and strategic project priorities.
- Develop business modeling and ROI for projects with engineering, finance and product stakeholders.
- Partner closely with team leaders to understand how to best staff and execute from an engineering perspective including capacity and project planning, resource alignment and assessment of resource productivity
- Lead critical communications providing project timelines, staffing, budgets, and progress using task management tools (primarily Jira), based on the audience. This will include providing timely updates on the status of projects to a cross-functional audience and key Sr Leaders
- Create and maintain project documentation that is the single source of truth about a project to keep teams aligned and informed.
- Lead strategic planning and budget planning and general operational processes to support a growing technology organization
- Assist in developing and communication of technology strategy and product roadmap
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
- You have 7+ years of real experience with business analysis and project management and strategic planning.
- You’ve had experience developing project reports, project budgets, project staffing, and project schedules along with business modeling and ROI. Further, you’ve mastered the art of flexibility in your management; you use a flexible approach, tailored to meet the needs of the data and people you are collaborating with.
- You are an effective written and verbal communicator with both technical and non-technical people.
- You have the ability to influence and lead others both win and external to the technology organization
- You have strong presentation, planning, and organization skills
- You have an agile mindset but are not wedded to one particular type of methodology for completing projects
- You have serious Jira and Confluence chops but are flexible in the tools you use.
- You understand how to use Google Apps (limited scripting knowledge is helpful) and/or Microsoft Office
