Quovo is looking to add an enthusiastic public relations manager to play an integral role in media relations, corporate communications, and content creation. You will be responsible for managing the public image of Quovo in the press and in-person events -- including conferences, panels, etc..

This role will have to work closely with the Sales, Operations, Technology teams, as well as executive leadership, providing a great opportunity for a self-motivated relationship builder with strong operational experience to shine.

Responsibilities:

  • Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives.
  • Establish a sustainable, strategic approach to PR based on adding value to media outlets and event managers, not just asking for it.
  • Assist in regular content creation to grow the company’s footprint (press releases, corporate announcements, and creative content).
  • Collaborate with prominent members of the company, including executives, to craft and pitch press releases and thought leadership columns.
  • Assist with event planning, including working with vendors, event coordinators, and design teams for on-site collateral.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, content marketing, or relationship management.
  • Strong network of professional contacts and proven track record with publications in finance and/or technology (both would be a significant plus).
  • Ideal candidate will have experience pitching, crafting, and placing content externally through contributed content or op-ed development and experience with event management and sponsorships.
  • A self-motivated individual; a good team player; someone who takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work.
  • Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated proficiency in oral, writing and presentation abilities at all levels.
