Seeker Media is looking for a Preditor (Producer/Editor) of Social Short Form video. The Preditor will be part of a small team that pitches, writes, produces, edits and publishes a high volume of video content for our social platforms. This role requires knowledge and understanding of Facebook video, and a strong production background with at least 3 years experience producing content for the web.

The ideal candidate is a curious and highly creative self-starter who works well with other teams, is organized, and has an eye for editorial that will resonate with the Seeker audience. Strong research, writing and Premiere Pro video editing skills are a must. We ask that you please provide samples of recent work when submitting your application.

Responsibilities: 

  • Pitch, research, write, source, edit and publish daily and weekly Facebook video content
  • Work closely with Senior Producer of Social Video on editorial strategy and content quality
  • Responsible for the highest degree of accuracy and quality in all published content
  • Work with Audience Development to optimize performance based on data insights
  • Maintain brand aesthetics and quality standards
  • Select and prepare cleared sourced video and audio to edit and export final projects
  • Clear, track and report all third-party assets
  • Identify and develop new content sources and platform-specific formats
  • Contribute to streamlining workflows and asset organization
  • Manage priorities and workload effectively to meet all schedules and deadlines
  • Archive and organize projects to Seeker quality & technical standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • 3+ years experience in writing, editing and producing quality digital video content
  • Experience adhering to editorial guidelines and best practices
  • Proficient with Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Have a knack for research and possess excellent writing and editing skills
  • Must have a strong sense of curiosity and understand social platforms
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and within a team
  • High attention-to-detail and organization
  • Expert in digital production workflow 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adept at designing motion graphics & in-video assets for After Effects
  • Passion for science, technology, journalism, innovation, design
  • Knowledge of emerging platforms and digital trends
