We are seeking a Product Analyst with strong GDS product knowledge to support our fast growing organization.
The Product Analyst will lead the product performance, analytics and content implementation for Fareportal’s XML booking channel. Working closely with the International and XML Product Leader, this individual will be responsible for driving growth in customer acquisitions, customer conversion, customer profitability, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have prior product/analyst experience in online travel technology (i.e., Online Travel Agency, airline, e-commerce, tour operator, or GDS) or in a high growth e-commerce environment requiring extensive use of data-driven decision-making
This role will offer the opportunity to define and execute a roadmap based on business vision, market trends, customer feedback and business analytics in the travel product space.

Responsibilities
- Fare/ Performance Analysis
- Work with the Fare analysis team to analyze our top 10 competitors and their top destinations in market
- Ensure we have complete coverage of most popular airlines for top destinations
- Ensure our fares are competitive versus other OTAs
- Ensure our fares are lowest (yet profitable) on all metas
- Product Innovation
- Identify best in class product user features, revenue opportunities
- Create and manage product roadmap of features and product ideas
- Create and/or manage backlog user stories that define new features for tech teams
- Perform analysis to drive new ideas or modifications to XML content to drive profitable growth through conversion
- Marketing (Landing Pages) Performance and Technology
- Monitor top KPIs hourly throughout the day (traffic, conversion, revenue, customer satisfaction) using funnel reports and online report manager
- Compare current performance to previous day/week/year for any changes
- Ensure we have high visibility on top meta search websites
- Partner with Marketing to design/implement promotional campaigns for website, email, etc.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience as a Product Specialist/ Business Analyst in a travel company
- Experience with flights products is mandatory
- Knowledge of flight ancillaries is a plus
- Hands-on experience of a GDS is a plus
- Successful track record of results in a growing travel/e-commerce environment
- Hands on experience with data analysis using Tableau, SQL data stores, data cubes etc.
- Critical thinking for analyzing problems and presenting solutions/recommendations in a structured format
- Keen interpersonal skills to influence desired outcomes working with a range of stakeholders
Skills
- Business Analysis – Ability to understand key business drivers of an OTA and estimate the impacts of potential changes in key areas including fare pricing, traffic mix, website design, etc. Ability to rapidly diagnose and correct declines in website performance KPIs.
- Implementation and Results Focus - Must be extremely disciplined in balancing multiple projects and delivering results in fast moving, matrix environment. Comfortable with agile product methodology/scrum, 2 weeks sprint cycle, user stories, story points, and phased implementations.
- Stakeholder Management – Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships internally and externally to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and deliver business results.
