The Product Design position at VTS comes with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. You will work in a cross-functional team of engineers and product management, interview customers, rapidly prototype solutions, and deliver experiences that delight the senses and satisfy the needs of each customer.
VTS designers are expected to tackle data visualization, workflow, and communication tools across web and mobile platforms. Designers must effectively collaborate with product management on research initiatives, help define quarterly team goals, present their work in group settings, and exercise leadership in their role and interactions with colleagues.
- Have 2-3+ years working as a Product Designer or similar role at an agency or in-house at a software product company.
- Take responsibility for every part of the design process, from understanding user stories and validating your design decisions, to polishing interfaces and working with engineers to deploy your designs.
- Participate in research exercises that uncover and explore customer needs and you add value to discussions around key findings and insights.
- Bring together interface elements and create flows that clearly and efficiently solve for specific user goals.
- Make use of prototyping tools to test your assumptions with users in low-cost ways.
