Noom is a New York City based health & wellness tech startup that uses mobile technology to help people lead healthier lives (32 million and counting!). While other fitness companies just track, we coach. We learn from the best research in nutrition, psychology and behavior modification and combine it with the latest tech to design next-generation health & wellness apps on Android and iOS.

We've built a strong foundation with hundreds of thousands of paying customers, over $23M in venture-backed funding led by RRE Ventures and Intervest, and a team of over 60 full-time Noomers across offices in NYC, Seoul, Tokyo, and Berlin.
Our Design Challenge:
Noom is looking for an idea-driven creative thinker who crushes problems using design. Read on if you think you've got the stuff.

We need a visual design that makes people want to open our apps. The design must help guide and motivate our users to do hard things. You'll have a huge audience and huge responsibility. You'll need to visualize what never has been. You'll need to be adept at working with both marketing and engineering, enabling large amounts of complex data to be understood and absorbed quickly with a diagram, or quickly putting together a physical or digital mock-up of a proposed solution. Your challenge will be to visualize information in a positive way, create feedback that looks encouraging (even when it's negative) and design appealing user interfaces that are enjoyable every day.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Create visual design systems for Noom's apps that enhances the user experience
- Gathering and interpreting product feedback
- Iterative prototyping and refining designs from lowly wireframes to beautiful mocks
- Effectively communicate Noom's key brand messages across all platforms

What We're Looking For:
- Currently obtaining, or recently completed BA in Graphic Design, User Interaction, engineering or related field from an accredited university
- Experience working in teams and demonstrates leadership ability
- Deep product/iterative experience with a large-scale mobile application
- Lo fi and hi fi prototyping skills
- Strong work ethic and high degree of conscientiousness
- Self starter with ability to create schedules and define scope of work even without explicit requirements and direction
- Proficiency with HTML and CSS-- implement markups, create prototypes, and code
- Bonus, but not required-- experience in data visualization, illustration, motion design and copywriting
