DESCRIPTION

Away is seeking a Product Development Senior Associate to oversee development of all brand partner collaboration products. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and excited to plan and manage multiple projects with tight timelines. You will support the product development lifecycle for these products, assessing design feasibility, communicating with suppliers and supporting market launches. You will proactively identify timeline changes and issues, contingency plan, and communicate these to relevant teams.

This role is based out of our headquarters in NoHo, New York City and reports to our Head of Product Development.

REQUIREMENTS

What you’ll do

  • Establish timelines for product collaborations based on development and production schedules
  • Set up and maintain calendars, order sheets, project overviews and development status trackers
  • Synthesize and communicate feedback between our suppliers and our Brand Partnerships and Design teams
  • Manage sample inflows and outflows
  • Identify and help reconcile tradeoffs between design direction and technical feasibility when they arise
  • Coordinate with a range of departments to ensure cohesion between physical product and all other partnership elements including web, marketing, retail, and brand activations
  • Own the sticker collaboration program including sourcing, supplier communications, and coordination with our design team
  • Continuously evaluate and refine product development processes

Who you are

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of work experience in project management or product development
  • Highly organized and process-driven
  • Proven ability to set up and manage multiple projects with a large number of deliverables to tight timelines
  • Able to arrange information in a variety of visual formats such as Gantt charts, calendars, line sheets, and creative overviews to effectively communicate with different teams
  • Strong at contingency planning and proactively identifying and communicating issues and updates to plans
  • Calm and solution-oriented when issues arise
  • Comfortable working with broad range of stakeholders, including creatives, launch managers, operations, and external suppliers
