Description:

LearnVest is looking for a talented Product Manager to help shape and lead a transformational effort for our digital products across LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual. The role requires a Product Manager with an eye for creating engaging consumer experiences, relying on metrics-driven decision making, driving growth of the user-base, and ultimately converting more consumers into paying clients.

This individual will work closely with various stakeholders, including Research, Design, Engineering, Marketing and our Field partners, to develop user journeys that convert active logged in users to paying clients.

Strong product fundamentals will need to be supplanted with soft skills in building relationships across numerous teams, effectively communicating vision, and aligning teams around shared goals.

This person will own the products from ideation to delivery. For the right individual, this role presents an opportunity to contribute to a product and company vision that improves the lives of everyday people.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the product strategy, prioritize features, build consensus among stakeholders, and coordinate product schedules with a team of product owners, engineers and designers to ship high-quality experiences
  • Build use cases and user stories around a product and communicate them effectively
  • Partner with Data, Design and Research teams to ensure products satisfy user needs as well as wants.
  • Inform product decisions with quantitative data on user behavior and experimentation (A/B testing).
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with external and internal key stakeholders/customers across groups and/or business units to maximize effectiveness and influence.
  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process by partnering with a variety of internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of digital product management or consulting experience delivering large complex web products
  • Good understanding of technical concepts and consideration in building complex web applications, system integrations and comfort in working closely with engineers.
  • Financial Services experience strongly preferred
  • Agile product management experience
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work alongside design management best practices and processes
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving ability 
  • Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills 
  • Able to gain the confidence of customer executives and senior management team
  • Ability to act autonomously
  • Highest standards of ethical and professional behavior, consistent with the company’s values and business conduct policies
