Description:

LearnVest is looking for a talented Product Manager to help shape and lead a transformational effort for our digital products across LearnVest and Northwestern Mutual. The role requires a Product Manager with an eye for creating engaging and sticky consumer experiences, relying on metrics-driven decision making and driving growth of the user-base. This individual will work closely with marketing to develop user journeys that convert site visitors to active users. Strong product fundamentals will need to be supplanted with soft skills in building relationships across numerous teams, effectively communicating vision, and aligning teams around shared goals.

This person will be on the ground working across Technology, Design, Marketing, Senior Leadership and key business stakeholders and will own the products from ideation to delivery. For the right individual, this role presents an opportunity to contribute to a product and company vision that improves the financial lives of millions of everyday people.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead research efforts that inform product requirements.
  • Utilize agile methodologies to build rapid prototypes and design products that provide value to consumers and clients.
  • Work closely with UX, visual design, engineering, marketing and other key team members to craft great user experiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication within the product team and outbound to the the broader organization and key stakeholders
  • Produce detailed product requirements to ensure products are being built that meet the needs of the business.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and synthesize disparate data sets to inform product direction.
  • Develop a strong grasp of the competitive landscape and customer needs to provide product leadership that ensures the appropriate feature-set is being build

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of digital product management experience delivering large complex web products
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • Good understanding of technical concepts and consideration in building complex web applications, system integrations and comfort in working closely with engineers.
  • Financial Industry experience a plus
  • Agile product management experience
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving ability 
  • Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills 
  • Able to gain the confidence of customer executives and senior management team
  • Ability to act autonomously
  • Highest standards of ethical and professional behavior, consistent with the company’s values and business conduct policies
