As our Product Manager, Platform at Handshake you’ll define, build, and iteratively improve of our products. Working on the same team as Designers and Engineers, and collaborating extensively with leaders across the company, you’ll build products that power how every product reaches every shelf worldwide.

Handshake's mission is to help manufacturers and distributors grow their business by making it easy for their customers order the right products from them in-person and online. The software we build provides our customers with a commerce platform that replaces the antiquated paper-and-clipboard-based systems used by brands and their salespeople, allowing for more products to reach more retailers with less cost, at greater speed and with less environmental impact.

Handshake Product Managers work with our customers and the rest of the Handshake team to solve difficult problems to make the lives of our users easier. Some of the biggest problems you’ll solve are:

Handshake is evolving from a simple iOS app that enabled sales reps to write orders to a platform capable of powering every interaction between manufacturers and distributors and their customers. The platform you build will enable programmers and IT administrators to customize our commerce products for their customers and sales teams. Whether you’re collaborating with programmers to design great APIs, or with designers to build simple and intuitive interfaces, your experience managing products for technical users will bring valuable expertise to our team and continued success to our customers.

Our success is built on strong connections with our customers and deep understanding of their problems. As we keep scaling, we need to enhance our understanding of our customers’ problems by investing heavily in data and analytics. As a Product Manager, you’ll get instrumentation and visualization tools in place, train your colleagues across the company on how to use these tools, and generate insights that inform your team’s decision-making and ultimately make our customers more successful.

While executing on our quarterly product roadmap, we also tackle bugs and customer requests with a dedicated team of engineers. As the manager of this work, you’ll triage issues, gather information from our support team, and communicate progress and status. You’ll positively impact our customer satisfaction by improving the predictability and transparency of this processes.
