Position Overview:

Part creative wordsmith, part strategic thinker, this individual will assist with Product Marketing communication needs driven by business and brand goals, as well as customer data and insights. Not only will you enhance your writing abilities, you’ll learn invaluable strategic thinking and communication skills that will serve you no matter where your career takes you. This role will focus on the on-demand/events business at Rent the Runway and how we articulate brand values to consumers everyday.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and review copy used in the promotion of content (i.e. email, on-site, etc.)
  • Analyze content performance to learn what’s working. Maintain content taxonomy or categorization on the backend to enable reporting
  • Ensure content meets high quality standards, is on-brand and in keeping with our editorial voice (i.e. tone, clarity, style)
  • Exceptional project management and communication skills and a commitment to understanding and delivering on the communication objectives of each campaign
  • Ownership of on-demand communications across marketing emails, on-site messaging, mobile communication, and other mediums
  • Work with Product Management to understand and translate key product features and new product launches into compelling assets for consumers
  • Lead ongoing research of the competitive landscape to identify trends and areas of opportunity in communication across mediums
  • Proven ability to manage multifaceted projects to meet objectives, while balancing and prioritizing across multiple projects
  • Align with channel leads to execute copy in paid social, paid search and email marketing campaigns that is crafted to drive response, orders and sales
  • Analyze the performance of past campaigns, creating quarterly recaps and consistent communications that summarize analyses and present them to internal stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Undergraduate degree in Marketing/Advertising, English, Journalism or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence and focus on writing and editing -- writing examples and/or portfolio strongly encouraged
  • 2+ years of experience supporting a creative, product and/or marketing organization -- experience with digital marketing, e-commerce or sales-driven organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience translating features and product for merchandising on web and mobile, desirable
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team, including social media, email marketing, paid media, data, analysis and production
  • Experience managing a fast-paced project pipeline and participate in cross-functional workflow
  • Knowledge of digital marketing topics such as social, video, mobile, app marketing, measurement and programmatic
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible, resilient, and adaptable to changing priorities
