 About the role

FanDuel is seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to serve as the marketing partner of the product team. You’ll lead the positioning, communications, and launch strategy of new FanDuel product launches (such as new sports, new features, new game formats, etc.) to drive understanding, awareness and adoption of new product releases. You’ll collaborate with multiple teams across the company in a heavily cross-functional and fast-paced environment, driving product-related marketing initiatives from inception to execution.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a partner to product owners to understand upcoming features and communicate product roadmap to marketing team at large
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy of new product releases
    • Develop positioning, key messages, and names (when necessary) for all new product launches
    • Produce all holistic tactical marketing plans/communications strategy for new product launches
    • Work with CRM team to identify appropriate audiences to target
    • Work with cross-functional teams to develop promotions utilizing new features (when applicable)
  • Drive asset creation
    • Craft copy for product-related marketing assets and work with copy team to refine when necessary
    • Drive creative development process – provide design brief & copy to design team and guide development of assets
  • Drive execution of marketing plans by collaborating with relevant cross-functional teams and marketing channel owners
    • Manage email marketing calendar and process, including targeting, scheduling, and reporting, with CRM team
    • Manage mobile push/interstitial campaigns, including targeting, scheduling, and reporting, with CRM team
    • Collaborate with social media team to develop and implement ideas/campaigns that drive awareness/trial of new features, sports, etc. via organic social channels
    • Work with Digital team to execute targeted marketing campaigns across digital/social/mobile and drive testing of offers, messaging and creative (when applicable)
    • Partner with internal Product, CRM, and Analytics teams to identify and execute tests in order to increase FM usage
    • Work with Product Operations on contest logistics (when applicable)
  • Serve as internal marketing expert on product roadmap, product marketing plans, and product marketing metrics, as well as on competitor offerings

Characteristics of a successful candidate

  • Solid product marketing experience, supporting product and marketing teams in the launch of new consumer-facing products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to simplify complicated subject matter with clear, benefit-driven messaging
  • Team player, able to comfortably work cross-functionally with different departments in a fast-paced, often-changing environment 
  • Proven problem-solver who proactively identifies issues, formulates plans to nimbly resolve these issues, and effectively communicates the results
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to come up with compelling marketing messages and plans
  • Experience managing and executing projects across multiple teams with shifting priorities and ability to set priorities
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a willingness to operate at both strategic and very tactical levels
  • Experience working closely with product teams preferred
