As a Professional Services Consultant at Handshake, you will be responsible for designing and deploying custom solutions for brands and distributors. Through great requirements gathering, solutions research and business acumen, your solutions designs will be an integral part of how every product reaches every shelf worldwide.

Handshake's mission is to help manufacturers & distributors grow their business by making it easy for their customers to order the right products from them in-person and online. The software we build provides our customers with a commerce platform that replaces the antiquated paper-and-clipboard-based systems used by brands and their salespeople, allowing for more products to reach more retailers with less cost, at greater speed and with less environmental impact.


Responsibilities
  • Serve as Project Lead for customer implementations, leading small project teams in defining, planning, and implementing solutions.
  • Use consultative skills to translate business problems into a set of objective, concise and logical requirements.
  • Document business workflows, requirements, and design. Consistently clarifying and confirming specifications.
  • Update and lead project timelines, meets with project team and client representatives as needed to communicate status. Identifies risks; provides analysis and contingency planning.
  • Utilize broad range of technical skills to analyze and implement highly customized solutions such as data integration, and platform customization.
  • Acquire, maintain and expand knowledge of relevant product offerings, current professional services policies, and methods of project management, in order to provide technically accurate solutions to customers.
  • Provide leadership in conducting and coordinating customer meetings and communications during the implementation process.
  • Conduct customer product acceptance testing and evaluation. Working with customers to achieve the best solutions to maximize product use and adoption.
  • Provide subject matter expert information to clients.
  • Contribute to the ongoing efforts of streamlining processes within and across the Professional Services organization.
  • Work closely with Handshake Customer Success Managers to ensure alignment and meeting customers’ business objectives
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to provide input and feedback on the product roadmap

To fulfill these orders, they need to pass seamlessly into a variety of back-end systems, including ERP, warehouse management, CRM and accounting software. Working with administrators at some of the world's largest brands, you'll work with our customers to define requirements, design solutions and implement key workflows and custom software integrations that ensure orders reach shelves in stores worldwide faster and with fewer errors.

  • have led successful ERP projects with solutions like Netsuite, SAP, Oracle and MS Dynamics Suite products
  • have experience managing customer relationships through the life-cycle of a Professional Services / Consulting engagement 
  • can effortlessly manage stakeholder expectations
  • are technical enough to troubleshoot reported bugs 
  • can effectively project manage a team of implementation engineers
  • have experience with agile methodology
  • have 5+ years experience in the field
