As a QA Engineering Manager (Chapter Lead) your primary role is ensuring that members of your team grow, do valuable work and have a great time at Spotify. There is plenty of opportunity to work across the larger organization and different tribes, in different challenging projects.
What you’ll do
- Develop people through coaching, mentoring, and management support
- Advocate and promote leadership at all levels within the Spotify engineering community
- Work closely with the recruitment team to hire and onboard QA engineers
- Advocate for software development best practices (CI, testing, UX, responsive design, etc.)
- Grow the technical expertise of your chapter within the Software Quality dimension
- Work closely with squads, product owners, agile coaches and stakeholders to ensure we deliver innovative products and campaigns to our users
- Collaborate with others managers in leading the Tribe.
- Work from our office in New York and be willing to travel to other Spotify offices when needed
Who you are
- You love developing and growing people
- You are experienced with leading, coaching, and mentoring teams
- You understand how quality is a shared responsibility across all engineers, product owners and designers, and how QA-engineers help supporting this responsibility
- You have an understanding of scalable systems serving millions of users, and the development of them
- You are experienced with software development in an Agile environment
- Experience in Ad Tech industry is a plus
