The Sales Operations Manager - Higher Education Products will manage distributor relationships, grow and manage the sales pipeline and support sales enablement. This is a new position and is critical to Knewton's success and the success of students on college campuses nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage distributor relationships  
  • Ensure that adoption information is collated and provided to distributors -primarily college bookstores-as necessary to ensure sell-thru
  • Follow up and maintain relationships to assist in top-line revenue generation
  • Provide the dashboards/analytics to help measurement of adoption through to sale
  • Work with marketing to ensure distributors receive “how to register” copy for student emails
  • Work with marketing on student facing materials in physical bookstore such as signage, shelf talkers, leave behinds as needed for each distributor.
  • Manage the RFP process 
  • Check Onvia inbound service daily for possible RFP responses
  • Review appropriate RFP’s for response
  • Create and lead team to respond to RFPs by deadline
  • Ensure all materials are compliant to RFP guidelines and send final proposal
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing sales operations; Experience in and knowledge of Higher Education Publishing or Edtech required.
  • Proven ability to set and execute key operational strategies and deliver insights to sales teams
  • Experience working with data to identify trends and make recommendations
  • Detail oriented and strong multi-tasker with ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Logical process-oriented person that enjoys ‘getting things done’
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort presenting to and interacting with large groups and with senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with dynamic priorities and time pressures
