The Job

 

We're looking for our first-ever sales planner. This person will be in an integral role within our advertising sales team, focused on managing campaigns with best-in class-client communication. Your primary objective will be to manage all stages of the sales process from pre-sale through post-sale: working with ad operations to create strategic media plans; with sales on meeting prep and campaign materials; and liaising with Gimlet Creative and marketing throughout the process.

As we grow quickly, we are looking for a detail-oriented, communicative, driven person who is excited about the burgeoning world of podcasts and who is eager to learn about sales and marketing. The ideal candidate will be able to provide first-rate customer service to our clients while efficiently multi-tasking under pressure.

What You’ll Do

  • Pre Sale Media Planning:
    • Participate in internal RFP brainstorms and help with pre-sale pitches as needed
    • Create media plans in line with overall proposal strategy
    • Assist salespeople with custom deck creation as needed
    • Serve as the day-to-day internal contact for all media plan submissions, plan revisions and planning inquiries during the initial sale
    • Partner closely with internal teams to secure inventory and steward media plans through necessary approvals
    • Confirm capabilities and ad delivery specifications
  • Post Sale Campaign Management:
    • Attend kickoff calls with account team to communicate pertinent information required to launch and manage campaigns
    • Work closely with Gimlet Creative producers and clients to gather all launch materials (tracking tags, audio scripts, etc.)
    • Work with AdOps to communicate with clients on campaign optimizations
    • Modify client presentation templates for select campaigns
    • Communicate with clients on campaign delivery reporting
    • Give analytical recommendations to salespeople and clients for future campaigns

What You Have

  • BS/BA in Advertising, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and Keynote
  • Knowledge of the digital sales process and a background in custom campaign management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated, superior customer service in a client-facing role
  • Superior organizational and project management skills with an ability to prioritize
