The Opportunity:

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Security as the Security Program Lead. The individual will be responsible for the creation, implementation and management of broad security programs and play an operational support and integration role. Must be well-versed in AWS security operations, cyber security tools, intrusion detection, and secured networks as well as a working knowledge of IT Security Frameworks, industry regulations, and standards, ISO, NIST, HITRUST and their associated security controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Solicit subject matter expertise internally and externally and conduct current state assessments to build requirements for each program.
  • Develop program business cases that highlight security risks not addressed, possible mitigation options, resources required, timing & action, and measurements.
  • Design training programs for business leaders and security staff on key security programs, policies and adherence.
  • Provide assistance to business units in educating and advising on security risks, corporate policies, programs and solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on security issues to senior business leaders as required.
  • Support operational coordination between business units, infrastructure teams and the Security Operations Center.
  • Ensure information security risk controls are implemented and appropriately monitored throughout a systems lifecycle.
  • Implement technical solutions to meet regulatory security policies, as well as best practices for servers and private cloud resources.
  • Must stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry related information, security topics and information security risk-related trends.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of information security experience with thorough technical understanding of various security technologies used in the industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Software development background a plus
  • Experience designing and implementing security solutions
  • Fluent in Identity and Access processes.
  • Industry security designations preferred
  • Advanced security skills across all areas – NGen firewalls, Endpoint protection, IPS, IDS, Web security, VPN, Cloud security, Email Security, Data Loss Prevention, AWS, Azure, PKI infrastructure, encryption, O365
  • Understanding of emerging cloud based and next generation security technologies
  • Ability to write both technical and business documents
  • Working knowledge of Infosec frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST
  • Strong, proven problem-solving skills, and ability to drive solutions through to completion
  • Able to clearly communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
