- About the company: Noken (www.noken.travel/beta) is a NYC travel startup, backed with $490k in funding, founded by Marc Escapa (Harvard Business School MBA, formerly Turo & McKinsey) and Emily Brockway (Harvard Business School MBA, formerly Special assistant to the CEO at Box, PE at Goldman Sachs). Noken curates international travel experiences from end-to-end. Our crafted trips free our travelers from planning and researching so that they can stress (way) less and explore (way) more. We pre-book the core pieces ahead of time and provide a personalized app that allows travelers to select spontaneous activities and sights on the go.
- About the role: We're looking for the first tech hire for Noken who will collaborate with our freelance developer team. Since we need to hire a few positions down the line, we're open to different seniority levels (2-7 years experience), compensation (trading-off equity for salary), areas of expertise (backend or mobile), and languages (our web is in React, our apps in React Native and our backend in CraftCMS/AWS but are open to switch). What we're really look for is someone (i) with drive to build a great company, (ii) ambition to learn and grow, (iii) ability to balance a startup's need for speed with quality/scalablity of code.
