We are looking for an exceptional communicator to be the owner of Bluecore media and analyst relations. You will have a unique opportunity to make immediate impact within one of the most promising high-growth startup organizations to enter the marketing technology space in recent years. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the Sr. Communications Manager will responsible for developing and implementing Bluecore’s communication strategy, including creating, refining, clarifying, unifying and communicating our strategic positioning and messaging, both internally and externally. The role will support executive leadership as a communications advisor and strategist to lead media, analyst and community relations, internal communications, thought leadership, and issues/reputation management.
The successful candidate is well versed in the startup ecosystem, has an outstanding media and analyst rolodex and will be able to apply their business, strategy, message development and communication skills to scale Bluecore’s storytelling in our next phases of growth. Bluecore has a great story and we are looking for an awesome communicator to tell the story in order to drive sales, customer engagement and company value.
Responsibilities
  • Amazing creative storyteller - able to distill complex concepts into compelling stories and develop a range of platforms to tell them
  • Develop and execute communications strategies and plans
  • Partner with our data analyst, demand gen and content marketing teams to create high-impact, data driven stories that drive impressions, media coverage and lead gen
  • Drive and manage the creation of high impact Bluecore stories for use with news media, analysts and other key audiences and influencers
  • Develop new and enhanced thought leadership content and communications programs
  • Use your existing connections to open up Tier 1 media opportunities and network to establish new relationships with key media that will be critical to raising Bluecore’s brand awareness and corporate profile
  • Oversee creation and distribution of high quality press releases, working closely with internal experts and resources, and ensuring approvals are secured as needed and appropriate
  • Create and manage outreach program and scale Bluecore’s analyst relations program in line with our product offering expansion
  • Ensure we are effectively “influencing the influencers”
  • Support Business Development team in generating positive media coverage as part of partnership efforts
  • Oversee management of awards initiatives, including identifying, submitting, marketing and winning targeted awards
  • Support executive team on strategy and implement communication plans for important internal communication, such as messaging, branding and change management, via various company-wide communication methods as appropriate (intranet, town halls, etc.)
  • Implement key communications policies, protocols, and guidelines
  • Oversee communications measurement, including the design and operation of relevant dashboards and reporting
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of media & analyst relations experience with enterprise software, including start-up companies
  • Demonstrated success with significant news media and analyst relations programs, including success in creating and implementing programs for new and innovative products and companies and high-profile technology brands
  • Relationship builder. You have a killer rolodex and understands the needs of Tier 1 reporters and how to become valuable assets for media vs. seeing them as an ends to a mean
  • Proven capability in creating and implementing thought leadership programs to create awareness and help drive sales and product adoption
  • Hands on experience with all aspects of corporate communications
  • Experienced at collaborating with cross functional teams at all levels, including senior leaders, and the ability to influence, drive consensus and implement plans to achieve desired results
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and delivering strong, consistent execution against aggressive goals
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation to support success and efficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
