Senior Data Analyst - Business Intelligence
This role requires a balanced focus on growth, innovation, operations and process improvement, with a unique focus on data analytics. Effectively translating data insights into proposed clear, logical, and motivating actions to present to senior leaders. Success in this role requires an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a love of solving data problems and learning new things.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an entrepreneurial, fast-growing software company, and has experience with reporting aggregation from multiple data sources. The candidate is a collaborative problem solver who looks to find high-leverage areas of the business to use data to drive improved business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of Catchpoint’s business model and customer base
- Support business leaders with weekly, monthly and quarterly operational metrics and financial reporting package
- Perform analysis regarding the company’s financial & operational performance
- Identify and analyze trends in business performance and highlight problems to address or opportunities to investigate
- Develop reporting mechanisms / analytics for business leadership to ensure quality metrics are achieved.
- Analyze business needs, identify problems, propose and track solutions for alignment with desired outcomes and present findings.
- Help define technical aspects of key SaaS business metrics across Catchpoint
- Automate forecasting and reporting workflows
- Advocate efficient data reporting methodologies using leading practices
- Analyze existing and potential market opportunity to enable decisions on sales strategy
- Collaborate with systems teams on data integrity and process improvements
- Partner with broader Finance organization on strategic projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience using analytics to drive key business decisions; examples include business/product/marketing analytics, business intelligence, finance
- You have a track record of being able to work independently and engage with business partners with minimal direction
- Ability to work in a team environment collaborating with technical and non-technical audiences
- You love to troubleshoot issues and solve puzzles
- You sweat the details and maintain a high level of integrity in your work
- Strong Excel skills are critical for strategic planning and operational modeling
- A degree in an analytical field (for example Science, Math, Engineering, Economics, Finance).
- Experience in technology and/or SAAS preferred
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
- Experience with SQL and large datasets preferred
- Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, Tableau or other BI, CRM and ERP knowledge
