We’re looking for a Head of Product Content who will collaborate across the organization to build out our educational platform. This individual will work closely with our Tech, Product and Sales teams to expand our educational offerings and market ownership.
This is a great opportunity to:
  • Design our content product strategy and execute collaboratively with Tech, Product, Data Science, Marketing and Sales teams
  • Providing thought leadership on new product initiatives that push Knewton’s mission of personalized learning forward
  • Continually analyze (quantitatively and qualitatively) and evaluate the performance of products and content against goals and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Assess content quality and ensure our content is accurate
  • Key player in cross-disciplinary discussions related to the development of our product with a deep understanding of what works with regards to user experience and educational platforms and content
  • Manage and develop the members of our product organization which includes Product Design, Product Management and Content Development
  • Source, engage with and leverage vendors, OER and our in-house content development team for the creation and curation of our educational content
  • Identify and establish strong relationships with appropriate content vendors
  • Create and follow schedules, understanding the intricacies of the North America Higher Education market
  • Own the content product roadmap, define the requirements, manage new content plans and roll out to our consumer platform
  • Prioritize projects among competing opportunities, balance user needs with business priorities, and articulate rationale behind decisions
  • Glean user insights through data and direct contact with end users
  • Set strategic publishing plan (1/year & 3 year)Acquire or license content as needed (within budget) to achieve pub plan goals
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years experience including
  • 7+ years management experience10+ years of experience building successful large scale content products
  • Experience with digital content management and/or education
  • Experience in content acquisitions in Higher Ed via royalty agreements or licensure
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with publishers and various vendors in the effort to acquire content
  • Mastery of high volume content production environments
  • Extensive training and experience in project management
  • History of defining product strategy and working closing with all functions of product and technology to execute on that strategy
