Location: New York, NY (Preferred) or Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Bankrate.com, a leader in online finance, is looking for a senior product manager with rock-solid experience in creating amazing products to help us build the best financial calculators on the planet.
What you'll do:
- Help develop a roadmap to both overhaul our existing suite of calculators – many of which are already the most popular in their space – and build vibrant new calculator experiences on Bankrate.com.
- Communicate the roadmap throughout our business, including executive stakeholders, senior members of the product team, the development leadership, our sales team, and our first-rate editorial team.
- Manage a scrum team of designers, developers, and QA, keeping focus on shipping products that delight our users.
- See products through their complete lifecycle, through ideation, requirements, design, launch, and enhancement.
- Live and breathe our user experience. Use feedback directly from our users to find problems, look around the corner, and be able to anticipate market trends.
- Take complicated data – such as an amortization table for a mortgage calculator – and present them in a way that is easy to understand.
- Know the market and become a master in our competitive landscape.
- Constantly iterate on design and product functionality via A/B and multivariate testing.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of product management experience, preferably in media, for an established, high-trafficked website
- Experience in Optimizely (or any other A/B testing platform)
- Experience working on Agile development teams
- BS degree or equivalent experience
- Experience owning of a pipeline consisting of multiple products with competing priorities
- Outstanding intellect and interpersonal skills with the drive to challenge the status quo
- Proven proactive approach to product management, with strong follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical fluency; comfort in understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members
