Senior Product Manager

Location: New York, NY (Preferred) or Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Bankrate.com, a leader in online finance, is looking for a senior product manager with rock-solid experience in creating amazing products to help us build the best financial calculators on the planet.

 

What you'll do:

  • Help develop a roadmap to both overhaul our existing suite of calculators – many of which are already the most popular in their space – and build vibrant new calculator experiences on Bankrate.com.
  • Communicate the roadmap throughout our business, including executive stakeholders, senior members of the product team, the development leadership, our sales team, and our first-rate editorial team.
  • Manage a scrum team of designers, developers, and QA, keeping focus on shipping products that delight our users.
  • See products through their complete lifecycle, through ideation, requirements, design, launch, and enhancement.
  • Live and breathe our user experience. Use feedback directly from our users to find problems, look around the corner, and be able to anticipate market trends.
  • Take complicated data – such as an amortization table for a mortgage calculator – and present them in a way that is easy to understand.
  • Know the market and become a master in our competitive landscape.
  • Constantly iterate on design and product functionality via A/B and multivariate testing.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of product management experience, preferably in media, for an established, high-trafficked website
  • Experience in Optimizely (or any other A/B testing platform
  • Experience working on Agile development teams
  • BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience owning of a pipeline consisting of multiple products with competing priorities
  • Outstanding intellect and interpersonal skills with the drive to challenge the status quo
  • Proven proactive approach to product management, with strong follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical fluency; comfort in understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members
Preferred: 

Design experience with a particular focus on user experience
