Kickstarter is seeking a seasoned product thinker to help build and grow an incredible experience for our community. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, data, product marketing, community support, and operations, owning the process for product development and ensuring that we fulfill our mission of making creativity possible for creators and backers around the world.
From incrementally improving core features to delivering brand new ideas and utilizing innovative technology, you’ll be leading teams through every phase of the product process: brainstorming, research, wireframing, testing, development, deployment, data analyses, and iteration. Your ability to execute by synthesizing broad strokes into clear, actionable, and phased roadmaps and KPIs must be top notch. Your problem-solving ability and endless verve for mapping obstacles and devising creative solutions must be unmatched. Your ability to collaborate, communicate with, and guide others to deliver meaningful outcomes, off the charts.

Our ideal candidate is a natural leader: proactive, energetic, driven, and inspiring. We’re open to a wide range of experience, but we’re especially interested in candidates who have a proven track record of success, developing inspiring and functional products for web, mobile, and native platforms.
You should have:
  • At least 5 years of product development experience
  • Experience owning qualitative and quantitative product research
  • Skills in various ways to unearth product opportunities and validate ideas (AB testing, prototyping, MVPs, etc.)
  • Exceptional ability to present work and ideas and synthesize findings and next steps
  • Strong experience developing product process, reporting and measurement
  • Excellent verbal communication, writing, and people skills
  • Scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit towards problem-solving and organization
  • A deep interest in the Kickstarter mission to help creative people around the world bring their projects to life, and the product opportunities and challenges that come along with it

If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you! Please send us your resume and a note describing an effective product/feature you have shipped and its impact, and be sure to include a little bit about yourself and why you love Kickstarter. This position is full-time and on-site at our beautiful office in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. All full-time employees are eligible for our terrific benefits program, which includes stock options, full health/dental/vision coverage, 401k contribution, generous vacation and family leave, and a wide variety of social and cultural events.
