About Entrypoint

Entrypoint is bringing VR to the masses because we believe both in the promise of VR and because we understand the practical constraints of the medium today.

People will always be hungry for new and better stories -- and big companies are spending money on 360, AR, MR, VR experiences accordingly. But they have no good way of getting that content seen; Entrypoint is that way.

We are using the latest web technology to empower creators of all kinds -- storytellers, artists, film directors and other creators by giving them new tools to distribute their content and by creating new ways to make it more engaging.

You Will Own...

• Key back-end architecture decisions - we'll look to you to help us decide which of the latest and greatest technologies we should use, and when to stick with what we already have
• High-impact projects on the cutting edge of VR distribution -- we're a small team with ambitious plans
• Working with designers and engineers to figure out the best full-stack approach to complicated engineering problems

You Should...

• have 4+ years of back-end development experience
• have significant experience building REST APIs and thoroughly understand HTTP
• be well versed with the technologies provided by cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and be able to navigate deployment, and infrastructure management within their platforms 
• have experience building scalable micro-service applications
• have great product sense and be able to think through user experience issues before diving into code
• write maintainable, testable, and performant software
• be passionate about best practices, automation and team mentorship
• have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• own your code - you plan, execute, and communicate until a project is in production

Bonus Points If You...

• have experience building server-side Javascript applications (node.js)
• have experience building applications that support video playback or live streaming​
