Sr. Strategic Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Strategic Consultant to be part of a multidisciplinary team to solve complex business problems that require both creative and analytical thinking for clients. The candidate will be responsible for leading a workstream of work or an entire project within a broader program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in management consulting, business operations, multiple technology disciplines, and extensive experience collaborating with internal partner teams and meeting directly with client management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope by working closely with the client to identify, clearly articulate and prioritize business requirements
  • Support (and own pieces of) project deliverable creation, review, management and archiving
  • Interface with vendors, consultants and software providers on behalf of the client (as required)
  • Collaborate with internal partner team, including UX, Design, R&D, and others to help shape concept design, product development, and product implementation roadmaps
  • Stay up to date on business and IT trends, strategy and design thinking and management consulting practices
  • Day to day responsibilities will vary, but include (and not limited to):
    • Client executive and line of business interviews
    • Requirements gathering (stakeholder interviews, requirements definition, gap analysis)
    • Market/landscape assessment
    • Client SWOT analysis
    • Benchmarking/maturity assessment/best practices assessment
    • Opportunity mapping and initiative prioritization
    • KPI analysis and dashboard development
    • Technical evaluation and assessment (vendor analysis)
    • Business process mapping and analysis
    • User segmentation
    • Ethnographic research (collaboration with Design)
    • Persona development (collaboration with Design)
    • User experience mapping and analysis (collaboration with Design)

 

Preferred Skills:

  • A depth of experience specifically in more than one of the following areas:
    • Value & Digital Strategy – Development of customer and enterprise driven, value enhancing digital strategies to drive increased business effectiveness, improved technology utilization, and enhanced positioning to address marketplace forces
    • Customer and Digital Transformation Roadmapping - Build out of enterprise and customer digital solution strategy, technology architecture, platform alternatives, and roadmaps to support and enable business and technology vision and goals. Construction of detailed customer/digital transformation plan to clearly articulate initiatives required to effectively and consciously transform an enterprise to the target future state
    • Business Case Analysis – Execution of comprehensive financial analysis detailing the costs, benefits, and estimated payback period/return of current and planned business and technology customer solutions initiatives, program, and projects
    • Platform Evaluation & Selection – Execution of proven methodologies to objectively identify, evaluate, and select technology platforms and tools that most effectively enable planned technology transformation. Evaluation and analysis of the effectiveness of existing solutions, platforms, and tools against selected business and technology KPIs and strategic goals
    • Process & Technology Improvement – Performing of detailed assessments of the effectiveness of customer and enterprise impacting processes and recommendations to align to corporate goals, market trends. Development, alignment, and deployment of future state operating model and processes to match organizational strategic goals and vision
  • Ability to articulate leading business issues and trends, including the associated technology implications within one or more industries
  • Solid functional knowledge and business experience, including but not limited to marketing workflow, IT strategy consulting, business analysis, business operations, application development, enterprise application, IT architecture, business process mapping 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in business, technology or in-house consulting, business operations, or business analysis; management consulting experience a plus
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and translate research, user needs, and technology solutions into sound business strategies for clients
  • Demonstrated ability to operate, analytically, strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment and motivate, support and interact with multiple project teams
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential; flexible and adaptable in agile environments, comfortable under pressure
  • Superior verbal, written, presentation, meeting facilitation and interpersonal communication skills. An ability to communicate with and lead professionals including highly technical individuals.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office, MS VISIO, and other collaboration-related tools
  • Travel, as required by client and project (up to 50% of the time, on average)
  • A Bachelor’s degree; an MBA or advanced degree a plus
