The Shutterstock Design Team designs all of the product and brand experiences, translated in performant UX and stunning UI. That means quantitative, qualitative and analytical research coupled with sensational design and crisp execution. It also means enjoying a lot of collaboration with product owners and developers. Above it all, we are empathic and passionate - we want to solve problems and solve them with integrity.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Product Designer for our Editorial business, you’ll create scalable designs for customers around the world. You’ll work to build product experiences that showcase stunning and iconic content - from high profile events (The Oscars, The Met Gala) to exclusive collections. For this role, you will:

  • Actively lead the end-to-end discovery and design process, from research and concept ideation to final high-fidelity visual designs
  • Responsible for improving existing processes and designing new processes to meet customer needs
  • Be a major advocate for the customer creating best in class eCommerce experiences
  • Support brand positioning and brand design efforts
  • Collaborate extensively with engineers, product owners, sales and fellow designers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with designing digital products
  • Experience building high-performance e-commerce sites
  • Ability to design beautiful UI layouts, templates and brand materials
  • You are comfortable working in the Agile methodology
  • You are a good communicator and can defend your ideas effectively and professionally (ie., oral, written, and presentations)
  • You have solid working knowledge of HTML/CSS, ability to prototype in code a big plus
  • You are a responsible adult. You estimate work, commit and deliver on deadlines and are vocal when risk arises
  • You enjoy working with a great group of designers, who genuinely care about design and each other
