Boxed.com is seeking a seasoned SEO specialist who will take us to the top…. of search results. The ideal candidate geeks out over the latest Google algorithm updates and can’t get enough of keyword discovery and optimization. Copywriting for SEO is no sweat off your back, and you’re equally at home training marketers to write smart copy with search engines in mind as you are going to a tech team and talking site architecture. Testing, tracking, and analyzing analytics are what you eat for breakfast, and when you’re not doing that, you like snacking with smart colleagues who love what they do!

You will:
  • Optimizing landing pages and site copy for search engine optimization
  • Performing keyword research on an ongoing basis, discovering, targeting, and growing the high value keywords that will help new customers find Boxed
  • Researching and implementing recommendations for organic SEO success
  • Establishing best practices for marketing and editorial teams in content creation
  • Working closely with the development team to ensure site architecture and code are optimized for SEO
  • Staying on top of latest trends in search algorithms and social search
  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing website analytics
  • Executing tests, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting results to company leads to show ROI
Requirements:
  • 2-4 years proven SEO experience
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools and keyword research tools
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Ability to take honest feedback and run with it – and give feedback in return
  • Must love snacks. Knowledge of binge-worthy TV a plus
