THE INTERNSHIP

We are looking for dazzlingly smart, talented and driven editorial interns for the spring semester. You’re a phenomenal writer who’s interested in editing, researching and brainstorming on a variety of topics, ranging from health to food, family to entertainment and everything in between. You’ll leave with a wide assortment of clips and killer editorial experience key to snaring a job in media or publishing.

THE WORK

• Stay up-to-the-minute on trending pop culture and lifestyle news
• Assist our editorial team with production of new articles, video and social content
• Brainstorm new ideas and topics to cover
• General editorial duties like fact checking, interviewing, transcribing and copy editing
• Write daily articles, blurbs, headlines, copy, you name it.
• Assist with general office duties and provide some administrative support

THE FINE PRINT

• Must be a student currently enrolled in a degree seeking program and able to receive college credit for internship hours
• Background in journalism, creative writing related field is a must
• Must have at least 3 clips demonstrating writing chops
• Possess solid communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to juggle numerous projects at once under deadline pressure
• Must have strong organization and deadline management skills
• Be a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• We are a fun staff, and we genuinely love what we do, so charisma, a sense of humor and a thirst for learning new things are pretty much essential.
