FanDuel is the pioneer of online daily fantasy sports, one of the fastest growing sectors of the sports and entertainment industry. Since our launch in 2009, we’ve been disrupting the fantasy sports industry and changing the way millions of people experience sports. 

We are looking for a Social Media Associate to join our social team where they will assist and transpose real-time sports statistics and milestones into deliverable brand content across multiple social media channels.

What you’ll do 

  • Work with our Social Media Manager and Project Manager to update editorial calendars and ensure all assets/materials are timely and up to date
  • Create, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, GIFs, videos) that builds meaningful connections and encourages FD players to interact and take action
  • Encourage generation of user created content via active community participation and conversation
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing weekly cross-channel contests and giveaways
  • Work closely with PR, Promotions, Partnerships, Live Events, and Content team to assess and implement varying departmental social needs
  • Manage online discussions by listening and responding to users (where appropriate) in a timely and authentic manner
  • Work closely with FD’s Customer Support team to escalate issues as needed and provide feedback on community happenings
  • Report real-time analysis of KPIs and data from the social media listening to the Digital, CRM and Brand teams and other key stakeholders to enable continuous real-time adjustments to marketing campaigns, brand and call center activities
  • Evaluate, assess, monitor and measure the impact of performance and effectiveness of FD’s social media communication and outreach tactics

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree, with a focus in Journalism, Marketing and Communications
  • Proficient in data reporting and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extremely strong copywriting and language skills with an emphasis in writing for social media/sports
  • Strong Proficiency in Graphic Design, Animation, Video Editing; use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Please include link to portfolio or website)
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary as well as being on call for urgent PR matters’
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Passion for fantasy sports
