About the Role
Common is looking for a smart, proactive, and passionate intern to join our small but mighty marketing team. Every member of our team “wears many hats” and gets to work on many projects across the company. You’ll have the chance to become a deep subject matter expert in your chosen area. You’ll be part of the team driving both the day to day tactical pieces as well as the long term strategy for our social, blog, and other content.
About Common
Common brings home to life by creating, designing and operating all-inclusive shared homes for those who live life in common. We combine community, convenience, and flexibility to make living with others a joy instead of a chore. Headquartered in New York, Common was founded by General Assembly co-founder Brad Hargreaves in early 2015.

Common partners with real estate owners and developers throughout the US to create community-minded homes. By doing this, we’re addressing the fundamental supply and demand issues that underlie housing in major cities today. Common opened its doors to its first building in Brooklyn in October 2015.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Content management tools (Wordpress, Tweetdeck, Latergram, Buffer, etc.)
  • CSS/HTML experience a plus
You
  • You are proactive more often than reactive

  • You have an eye for design
  • You possess a love of new technology
  • You desire to constantly learn and improve
