About the Role

The primary focus for the backend developer will be working on our ad server along with our bidding (RTB) systems for scale, performance, and rock-solid reliability. Other responsibilities include developing highly performant code for our RTB cluster, handling billions of daily events while keeping uptime & response time. Ideally, you will understand things algorithmically and be a highly motivated self-starter. The team uses agile methodologies and continuous integration tools as part of its development process.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time bidding classifications for web services and enhancing our distributed real-time bidding system
• Work on bidder platform that integrates multiple 3rd party ad platforms and data providers
• Work closely with business to ensure production campaign success
• Design, build, deploy, monitor and maintain our ad server and bidding platform built for high availability and high performance
• Own the full stack: from storage to service
• Provide technical trouble shooting on systems and production issues and drive for their resolution

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years experience programming in Java
• Experience with JSON, and Javascript
• Experience with object-oriented programming and developing distributed systems using SOAs and RESTful APIs
• Demonstrated ability to deliver and deploy high-quality, high performance products in a rapid, hands-on Agile environment

• Experience with AdTech/RTB
• Experience with relational and NOSQL data store solutions
• Exposure/experience with AWS
• Experience with distributed caching solutions and technologies
• Hands on experience in designing high volume, low latency, highly distributed solutions
