Cadre is looking for a Software Engineer in Test to help us build a consumer-grade, online marketplace for investing in traditionally illiquid assets, starting with commercial real estate. You’ll automate tests, develop test strategies, and develop test infrastructure to accelerate our continuous integration pipeline. You'll be a core member of the engineering team, working directly with fellow engineers to increase testability and testing coverage as we scale the marketplace to more investors.

 What You'll Do

• Write reliable UI and API tests to increase testing coverage
• Develop database fixtures and testing hooks to facilitate automation
• Develop scripts and tools for our continuous integration system
• Work with the automation lead, developers, and product owners to develop test strategies and processes
• Analyze code coverage output and defects to identify further automation opportunities
• Research new testing tools and technologies
• Review specs and technical designs from a testability perspective
• Debug issues found by automated tests and issues reported by our clients
• Perform exploratory testing as needed

 Your Expertise

• Experience coding in a modern scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc.)
• Experience writing SQL (you should be able to join tables)
• Experience testing JSON-based APIs and web applications
• Exposure to a Linux environment and experience working from the command line
• An understanding of Selenium 2/WebDriver
• An interest in understanding how systems behave (and misbehave)
• An interest in learning about real estate and investing
• Minimum of 3 years experience in software engineering
