Generating more than 15 billion video streams a month, JW Player is the world's most widely-adopted web video player. As a software engineering intern, you'll contribute to building features, as well as designing and implementing internal tools to support our engineering team and the business at large.

Interns will contribute to existing teams, or will be given an opportunity to create something from scratch. Here are some of the tools and frameworks we use to make things happen here:

• Git
• Python and associated frameworks (Pylons, SQLAlchemy, Flask, etc.)
• JavaScript (from pure JS to high-level frameworks like Angular.js)
• Mobile frameworks (Objective C/Swift, Android Java)
• Connected devices (AppleTV, Roku, Chromecast, etc)
• FFMpeg

In particular, we're looking for someone who possesses these qualities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Loves to code, and can prove it (with an active GitHub profile, for example)
• Familiarity with modern web technologies
• Independent work ethic
• Working towards a Computer Science or equivalent degree
