Position Overview:

We are looking for a hard-working, highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our strong Accounting team. You will play a key role in the Finance department during an exciting period of high growth and process transformation. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, extremely successful, high energy company.

Responsibilities:

• Play a major role in the day-to-day operations of the Finance department, including ongoing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare and coordinate timely completion of all bank and credit card reconciliations
• Act as a business partner to various internal departments to ensure proper finance/ control requirements for any new initiatives
• Assist in the preparation of schedules for the annual financial statement audit as well as multiple state and local sales tax audits that may arise
• Review invoices, expense reports, and capital expenditures as needed to ensure proper accounting treatment by accounts payable
• Assist in preparation and presentation of monthly financials for GAAP and management reporting
• Prepare monthly departmental performance reports and variance analysis for review with management
• Support the FP&A team during the planning and budgeting processes
• Be a key collaborator for any company-wide system implementations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• 2-3 years of Public Accounting / Auditing experience highly preferred 
• Alternatively, 3-4 years in Accounting position with a strong consumer brand 
• CPA preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and excellent analytical skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically the ability to manipulate large volumes of data with the use pivot tables and formulas
• Must be a detail oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to multitask and jump in to assist the team when it is critical
• Strong work ethic and a can-do positive attitude is a must
• Experience working with any major accounting software
• Able and willing to communicate effectively with different levels of management throughout the organization
