Overview:

LearnVest is seeking a Staff Accountant who will support the monthly close, AR and AP process. We are looking for an eager accounting professional who would like to start their career in a fast-paced environment and grow within the organization. This role involves a high attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Support the month end close process including expense accruals and revenue recognition
• Manage Accounts Payable function and ensure correct coding of expenses
• Review employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies
• Own the accounts receivable function from end to end
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as: prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, and accrued liabilities
• Actuals vs budget variance research and analysis

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks
• Pro-active and able to work independently
