Catchpoint is looking for a Staff Accountant who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is able to multi-task in a growing finance department. This role’s responsibilities will include month-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations, support schedules and commission statements.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and support schedules
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Ensure all schedules are up-to-date and maintained in an “audit ready” form, which includes being proactive in resolving any open items
- Prepare account reconciliations (cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, revenue, expenses and inter-company transactions)
- Implement billing rules per contract and help support contract management within NetSuite
- Support the collections process by managing and reporting on accounts receivable and collections efforts
- Assist the department in facilitating the sales tax process associated with contracts
- Help with monthly/quarterly commission statements and payout calculations
- Provide financial reports and analysis to management on a timely manner to facilitate their understanding and decision-making process
- Perform various trend analysis on top line expenses
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of public accounting experience, Big 4 preferred
- CPA preferred
- Accounting systems experience (QuickBooks, NetSuite preferred)
- Strong MS Office experience (Excel/Word)
- CRMs, T&E systems, and HR systems experience preferred
- Pro-active and self-motivated personality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
