We are looking for an individual who wants to roll-up their sleeves and make an immediate impact on our organization. This role will give you the chance to problem solve alongside our finance team, sales organization and C-level executives. BetterCloud is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and vets.

 Responsibilities

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Pays Process vendors by payments including,: verifying federal id numbers,; scheduling and preparing checks,; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring processing vendor credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
  • Responsible for vendor contract management
  • Process employee expense reports
    • Review expenses reports for compliance with Company policies and request changes and/or documentation from the employee as needed.
    • Record expense reports in the general ledger, ensuring correct expense classification on the general ledger.
  • Perform month-end account reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts, including but not limited to capital assets, prepaid expenses and monthly accruals
  • Preparation of weekly bank account reconciliations
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions including invoicing customers and applying payments to customer accounts, reconciling customer accounts, managing the AR reserve, and generating and reviewing AR aging reports if needed
  • Play a key role in helping to streamline, automate, and continuously improve processes and internal controls as we build out our financial systems to support our growth
  • Assist with implementation of new financials systems, train relevant team members and help resolve technical problems
  • Preparation of ad hoc and routine reporting as needed

Qualifications | Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required, in Finance/Accounting a plus
  • At least two years of accounting or related experience is required
  • Month end close process exposure a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Creative thinker and problem solver, proven analytical skills
  • Highly motivated, professional and hard working

Qualifications | Recommended

  • Experience with Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce, Expensify and Zendesk a plus
