Overview:

LearnVest is looking for a Technical Program/Project Manager to help manage, drive, and organize 30 different tracks of work. You will work cross functionally between software engineers, product managers, designers, marketing, sales, executive management, and vendors to implement/integrate new technology solutions. As the Technical Program/Project Manager you will be a creative leader, adapt with changes, structured and be able to provide leadership to successfully complete your deliverables. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the communication of various departments focused on the integration of products between LearnVest & Northwestern Mutual.
  • Provide a strategic vision while ensuring the successful completion of software rollouts on an enterprise scale.
  • Ability to work across 3 different locations which include New York, Phoenix, and Milwaukee.
  • Strong experience working in a product driven organization with the ability communicate effectively between product management, software engineering, design, finance, and marketing.
  • Ability to provide technical documentation, gain user requirements, and detailed reports.
  • Create technical specifications while adapting to changes on current projects and help implement new features/enhancements for current work streams.
  • Act as a SME with the Agile methodology of software development.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Certifications within project management is a plus but not required (PMP/CSM). 

Skills Required: 

  • 7 Years of enterprise level experience in a Program/Project Management capacity.
  • Track record of strategically aligning program/project management methodologies while working within a product organization.
  • Proven experience working as an individual contributor in a non micro-managed environment.
  • Providing credibility with Senior Leaders and navigate relationships to advance the priorities of the project.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience working in a Product Management organization and an eye for recognizing project issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • In-depth problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; Demonstrated ability to employ fact-based decision-making to resolve complex problems, by applying logic analysis, experience and business knowledge
  • Ability to identify, mitigate, and manage project risks and issues.
